The independent record label CLUB RECORDS ® started up in 2005 with the objective of promoting and publicizing those artistic expressions which, while having basically a jazz matrix, are also influenced by the diverse genres affecting music today, which enrich and embellish many forms of making music. In our view, jazz is not merely a genre. Above all, it is a musical language used in diverse genres and modes which reflect and portray today's musical reality. In this respect, jazz becomes a vast melting pot into which flow varied artistic forms, distinguished from each other by the different interpretation they have been able to give to the original language. Our aim is to market those musical productions which display a feeling for jazz, not as a static language but as a dynamic language, fresh and adaptable to heterogeneous forms of music, ranging from electronic to ethnic, from funk to lounge. This type of musical expression may often be found in nightclubs and small piano bars where, more often than not, there is no possibility of access to a wider public beyond their area of activity. CLUB RECORDS ® deals exclusively with niche market jazz products and offers its public a catalogue comprising the most widely varying expressions of contaminated jazz.
